
The Themes of Ruth
The book of Ruth is a story of tragedy and love, faith and honor, and a loyal covenant between a daughter and her mother-in-law. This story takes place in the period of Judges and follows a woman named Ruth who was a childless widow in a foreign land. She displays a deep love for her mother-in-law, Naomi, and eventually meets a man named Boaz. This story may only be four chapters but it is full of themes that are important to our understanding of scripture. This series will cover the many themes found throughout this story.
